Miso-Cookie Butter Cookies

I roll them in different flavored sugars to get a good crunch on the outside of the cookie

These cookies can be sliced and baked when your ready!

These are slice and bake cookies and are perfect for the freezer and you can bake them any time you are ready.

These cookies taste a little like butterscotch

Ingredients:

1 ¾ cup all-purpose flour

¾ tsp baking soda

½ tsp baking powder

½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter at room temperature

1 cup light brown sugar

½ cup sugar

1/3 cup white miso paste

¼ cup cookie butter

1 large egg

1 ½ tsp vanilla puree

½ cup vanilla bean sugar for rolling the cookie dough in for some crunch

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar together until creamy add the miso paste and cookie butter and continue to beat until all ingredients are well mixed and scrape down the sides. Add the egg and vanilla and

continue to mix for 1 minute.

Add the dry ingredients and mix until the dough comes together.

Form into a log. At this point, you can refrigerate, freeze or proceed with baking. Before baking, roll the log in the Sugar, cut into slices and bake.
