I have seen. this. recipe all over the place from the Today show to Joy The Baker food blogger and had to try it.
This recipe is from a circa 1930’s cookbook and it is simple and a good choice for a breakfast bread. Try your favorite jam or jelly smeared on a slice.
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
4 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/3 cups milk
1/2 cup plus 1 Tbl smooth peanut butter
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
Mix flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in a bowl.
Add milk to the flour mixture and then mix in peanut butter.
Pour the batter into a greased bread pan and bake for one hour.
