Chimichurri Sauce

This is one of those quick herb sauces that you can use as. a marinade or serve as a sauce. It goes really well with a pan seared piece of fish, shrimp or skirt steak. I use it to marinate mushrooms before grilling or roasting them.

Ingredients:

½ cup parsley

½ cup cilantro

2 cloves garlic, grated

1 tsp lemon zest

2-3 Tbl fresh lemon juice

½ tsp chili flakes

½ tsp sea salt

½ cup Jalapeno Garlic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

pepper, to taste

Directions:

Chimichurri is a loose, oil-based condiment, not a ground paste.

Hand chop the parsley and cilantro, add the rest of the ingredients and mix all ingredients together in a bowl. Allow to sit for 5-10 minutes to release all of the flavors into the oil before using.
