Apple Tart with Almond Butter Frangipane
This apple tart with white miso and almond butter is the dream of @mollybaz
Ingredients for the Frangipane Filling:
1 Tbl butter
1/3 cup brown sugar
3 Tbl almond butter
1 Tbl white miso
Directions for the Frangipane Filling:
Combine butter and brown sugar in a medium bowl. Using a rubber spatula, work the two together, spreading them along the sides of the bowl until mixture in homogeneous.
Add the almond butter and white miso and continue to mash with your spatula until well combined.
Transfer to a container and keep refrigerated.
Ingredients for the Apple Glaze:
¼ cup heavy cream
1/3 cup dark brown sugar
2 Tbl butter
Directions for the Apple Glaze:
In a small saucepan, combine heavy cream, brown sugar, butter. Cook over low heat, swirling the pan frequently, until the butter melts. Whisk constantly until mixture comes to a simmer and the sugar dissolves, about 1 min longer. Set aside
